Sometimes, our deepest anxiety comes from a fear of something that has not yet happened.
Marianthi and her husband longed to have a child. Although there was no medical indication of a problem, the waiting and uncertainty filled her with fear and anxiety. Then, through an unexpected encounter with the Holy Belt of the Mother of God, which came from Mount Athos to Meteora in 2016, she felt that she had found a source of faith and hope. With tears and deep trust in the Theotokos, she venerated the Holy Belt, asking for Her help in her desire to become a mother, while also praying for her father, whose health was seriously deteriorating.
A moving testimony of faith, prayer, and the hope that can emerge even in the midst of anxiety.
